This came as an eye-catcher to us. We were looking through Infiniti's US website when we encountered a press release regarding the unveiling of the production EX. The two keywords of the press release title, EX & Pebble Beach, were enough to get us jumping. Infiniti is set to unveil the new EX at the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach, California just a day from today.
Infiniti unveiled the EX Concept in New York last April and its reception was massive. Slotting below the FX, the EX is Infiniti's answer to the BMW X3 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLK. The production version will retain nearly all the design elements from the concept, and we caught a glimpse of it with the spyshots LeftLane posted sometime ago. We also read some personal recounts of the EX roaming the streets of California with minor camouflage.
The production EX will still retain the Lane Departure Prevention and the Around View Monitor, found in the concept. These groundbreaking safety features will likely accumulate throughout the entire line-up in two years at best. Continue reading to view the official press release.

PRESS RELEASE: Infiniti to debut the first-ever Infiniti EX at Pebble Beach
CARMEL, CA- The 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, showcasing some of the most breathtaking and influential designs in automotive history, will be the setting for Infiniti to reveal the all-new 2008 Infiniti EX luxury crossover. While Infiniti Design Director Shiro Nakamura serves as judge for this prestigious event, attendees will explore the Infiniti Gallery of Design and witness the introduction of the all-new Infiniti EX.
By starting with the style and passion of a coupe, Infiniti design has transformed the crossover beyond a thoughtful combination of size and capabilities alone. Elevating the EX to the level of a true personal reward, with uniquely elegant expressiveness and tailored luxury.
With smooth, flowing exterior lines, the EX exudes a more sexy and sporty identity than traditional crossovers. Inside, the sense of flow continues with curving shapes and elegant details creating spaces of intimacy and personal refinement for both driver and passengers.
With the EX, Infiniti will also introduce several groundbreaking new technologies. Lane Departure Prevention[1] is the next step from the Infiniti-first Lane Departure Warning system to help prevent your vehicle from unintentionally straying from your lane. And Around View Monitor[2] helps provide a clear picture of objects around you.
The all-new Infiniti EX arrives in showrooms this winter. See the EX Concept now by clicking on the link above.
