Hyundai will rehash the Santa Fe for the 2010 model year with exterior, interior, and powertrain changes. The Santa Fe will receive Hyundai's new corporate grille which has started to appear in recent prototypes from the automaker such as the next-generation YF Sonata. New headlights and a restyled front bumper are also in the running, as well as restyled taillights and rear bumper.
The current Santa Fe is powered by either a 2.7L V6 or a 3.3L Lambda V6. Announced by Hyundai executives recently, the 2010 Santa Fe will drop the former option in favor of a more efficient 175 hp 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. The 3.3L will also be replaced by a new, more powerful 3.5L V6.
The freshened SUV is expected to go on sale by the fall of this year. More details will be posted soon. Head over to Leftlane to view more images.
