Kia's shining star at next week's Los Angeles Auto Show was going to be the Kee Concept. The Peter Schreyer-designed coupe concept was scheduled to be the highlight of the automaker's presence at the show. However during a trans-atlantic voyage from Europe en route to the US, the Kee broke free of its cargo restraints inside the car transporter and heavily damaged the front-end of the vehicle.
"We had to send the car back to Italy to get repaired and there is no way it’s going to make it back to the States in time for the LA show," stated Kia spokesman Alex Fedorak. The 2+2 coupe was proclaimed to be the "new face" of Kia and the car was scheduled to stop by at Kia's dealer meeting in Las Vegas before prepping for the show. The Kee Concept first debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show, held last September.
