Featured in the November issue of their monthly magazines, Kiplinger's Personal Finance published its annual "Best List" of the year, with awards going to mutual funds, credit cards, consumer deals and of course, cars. For the "Best Crossover" segment, the editors of Kiplinger tested more than a dozen new crossovers on the market. The honours went to the 2007 Hyundai Veracruz.
According to those who evaluated the crossover, "Among crossover SUV’s, the Hyundai Veracruz can be accessorized to compare with much pricier luxury crossovers." The Veracruz packs a 3.8L 260 horsepower V6 and is equipped with standard amenities like Electronic Stability Control. The fully-loaded 2007 Veracruz stickered $34,995 which is sub-par to the base prices of many of the Veracruz's competitors.
For 2008, more premium goodies such as memory seats and power tailgate all come standard in the range-topping Limited model and a new LG touchscreen navigation system can be added.
