Kolon Motors, one of the official dealers of BMW cars in South Korea, is set to launch the Subaru brand in the country.
Subaru's line-up at launch will consist of the Impreza Sedan and Hatch, Legacy, and Forester. The Impreza was already available through select dealers via importation, albeit garnering dealer mark-ups that increased the prices in excess of 60 million Won ($57 284 USD).
Kolon Motors stated that it will launch the Subaru brand later this year. Nissan and Mitsubishi are also scheduled to debut in South Korea in September. Honda has already made its mark in import sales, taking the top rank in import sales with the CR-V. Toyota stated earlier that it will launch with the Camry and RAV4 in 2009. Prices of the Subaru vehicles will range from around 20 million Won ($19 094 USD) to 50 million Won ($47 737 USD).
